Engine Room Hosted by 2nd Lieutenant Hanabi, Manager
Welcome to the Engine Room, where things go when you don't
quite know how to deal with them. See, the SpaceCadet Station is powered by a Giga Galaxium Engine 500LX (developed by the Capsule Corp n.n)
which runs mainly on a diet of miscellaneous tidbits, fanfic snippets, anime information and other goodies, along with some
good old-fashioned elbow grease courtesy of our manpower unit, which I'll let Hanabi introduce you to. Have fun!

(You are led by two of Stella's crewmen down a flight of spiral stairs to an iron door, decorated
with scenes of heaven and hell and possessing huge fox-head-shaped door knockers. The doors radiate heat from within, but other than that no sign of what lies ahead is apparent.
The crewman on your left grasps the fox-head knocker and raps it on the door twice, hard. A moment goes by where nothing happens,
but then the doors begin to swing in as the hinges groan in protest. At first, you can see nothing but red light. The heat grows more intense as you blink to try and clear your vision. As the doors reach the end of their journey and stop, you see a teenage girl with red-furred fox ears, whisker marks on her cheeks, and - most especially - six luxurious red fox tails fanning out from behind. [A kitsune,] you think, remembering Captain Stella's tales of the metamorphosing fox-spirits. This kitsune's arms are spread as if asking for a hug or performing magic as the doors open to their widest, and one hand holds a small scepter topped by a globe compass like the one Captain Stella uses. As the crewmen turn to leave, she lowers her arms and grins at you, displaying sharp white fangs. Now you can see behind her. There are people in the Engine Room - humans, aliens, mixtures of both. You are shocked to realize that you recognize most of them - they are deceased villains from several anime series. One or two look up to regard you coldly, but most ignore you. The vast majority are bouncing away on treadmills arrayed about what looks like a great iron demon of a furnace - the main engine unit, you surmise. Now the heat is beginning to get to you, and you wipe beads of sweat from your forehead as the kitsune beckons you inside.) |

Hanabi: Hey there, I'm Hanabi. I'm the manager of the Engine Room,
which means I'm responsible for making sure the SpaceCadet's engine has enough power to get where it needs to go. Allow me to introduce you to my willing and loyal crew.
Frieza: Ha. Hanabi: Shut up, you. Anyway, that was Frieza, who I'm sure you remember as being one of the major villains of Dragonball Z. He is but one of the evil villians doing time in the Engine Room. Also in residence are representatives of many literary universes, including Final Fantasy VII, Sailor Moon, No Need for Tenchi, Gundam Wing, Beast Wars, and, of course, the lovely people who do anime translations for the US. (Remember Sailor Moon?) Random Translator: Hey, we did the best we could! There are censorship laws, you know! Hanabi: Then at the very least you could have put some effort into rewriting the scripts. I mean, honestly. 'Amara?' I could come up with better stuff than this! Random Translator: ::shuts up:: o.o;;; Hanabi: Thank you. Now, you may notice that the majority of these guys are on treadmills. Those treadmills are actually the machines that convert anime-related randomness into power for the engine. The treadmills themselves are run by manpower alone - or alien power, or whatever power. That's where my crew comes in. As punishment for their dirty and nefarious deeds throughout their lifetimes, they are doomed to manual labor in the Engine Room until their debts are paid and their evil is expunged. Think of it as an anime purgatory. Yakage: I still don't see what I did to deserve this. Hojo: Ditto. It was all in the name of scientific discovery. Hanabi: Exactamundo. But we won't get into that right now. What we will get into is the Engine Room's collection of randomness fun, which is what Captain Stella asked me to show you in the first place. And so, without further ado - Chibi-Cell #3! (Behind you, a chibi-Cell does its best to look innocent) Hanabi: How many times have I told you - no sneaking up on guests! |

Assignment 2: Beast Wars Part 2

To submit a fanfic to be MST'd, follow the procedures for regular fanfic submission (found on the First Floor) and put "MST" somewhere in the subject line. Keep in
mind that just because I MST a fanfic doesn't mean I don't like it. After all, I absolutely love Beast Wars but I MST'd it quite thoroughly. Think of it as a mark of maturity that you can handle a work of yours being gouged, all in the name of fun.
